Tables of Correspondences
This Appendix refers to an intellectual exercise. Correspondences are used to catalog the contents of the mind; they are not the concepts or items themselves, and are subject to variation according to the individual user.
Correspondences are linkages wherein any item can be correlated to other items that fit within a specific category. There are many formats.
A large, full-range, Qabalistic Table will list all numbers, normally limited to One through the Thousands [3,200+], but theoretically leading up to Infinity . Then each number is correlated with all the words that add up to that number.
An amusing example would be "LSD"
(L = 30, S = 60, D = 4, LSD = 94):
A shorter Table, based on the Tree of Life, will list the numbers from One through Thirty-two , being the total of the ten spheres and the twenty-two paths. Corresponding items are then associated with their number in a variety of categories (gods, colors, stones, instruments, etc.).
A Table based on the basic numbers will include only One to Nine . All higher numbers are reduced, meaning the single digits are added together until a basic number is reached.
For example: 777 = 7+7+7=21 = 2+1=3. Thus 777 reduces to 3.
This is called basic or mundane numerology. It is used to analyze birth names (birth certificate designations) and birth dates. It can also be used for addresses, telephone numbers, etc. It can be amazingly accurate.
A practical approach to the use of these Tables would involve: (1) Deciding the type and nature of the operation, (2) Determining the associated number, and (3) Designing the ritual according to the correspondences of the chosen number.
The entire subject is vast and will not be addressed in detail. This Appendix presents correspondences based on the numbers One through Ten with additions covering Zero [Ø] and "X" [the Abyss]:
