Preface

There are a great number of books on Meditation and Yoga available. Many are superficial and/or relate to the difficult poses of Hatha Yoga.

However, some books present a more scholarly approach. One may find dissertations on the true science and art of meditation, and texts that set forth the principles of Raja Yoga.

This little Essay offers the basics of Raja Yoga, from the essential concept of the moral structure, through the discipline of the body, emotions and mind, to the advanced results of meditation. It can be of value to the beginner, but even the advanced mystic might find a few techniques and hints to fortify his or her practical experience.

But remember - Nobody ever said it was going to be easy!
